There are many different parks in and around the city of Searingtown. Two of the most notable parks are the Searingtown Pond Park and the Christopher Morley Park. Each of these are notable for their own reasons, and each of them are equally as beautiful as one another.
The town of Seartingtown, New York has a beautiful park, located on Dogwood and Searington Roads. Aptly named, Searingtown Pond Park is located right in the middle of the town. The park is impeccable with well maintained shrubbery and grass, along with a small pond that sparkles. Residents of Searingtown can be seen at all different times of the day and night strolling through this little piece of heaven in town. This park was recently upgraded, thanks to one of the fifth-grade classes at one local elementary school. Now the primary schools enjoy the park as part of their class instruction.
Christoper Morley Park is also located on Searingtown Road. This park is located in the city of Roslyn, but is just a hop, skip and a jump from Searingtown. Nassau County purchased this park in 1961 and named the park after one of the most prolific authors, who happened to produce most of his writing on the land which is now the park.
There are many different activities for families and for those who want a great workout. The playground has been renovated to include a climbing apparatus. The “weekend golfer” will enjoy the 9-hole course, and joggers can take in some nature when running through the fitness trail, created in 2007. In the winter, families can ice skate on the rink, and in the summer everyone can swim.
